Surgery

The staff at Hill & Harbour Veterinary Center understands that surgery, whether elective or not, is a stressful time for the family.  Our surgical goals are threefold:

  • Minimize the stress of hospitalization for both patient and pet owner
  • Ensure the safety of the pet at ALL times
  • Uphold strict asepsis and proper surgical technique

Because surgery is Dr. Schoen’s passion, he furthered his post-doctorate training with a specialized surgical internship, refined his spay/neuter technique by working as a surgeon at a spay/neuter clinic, and regularly attends surgical continuing education seminars.  This dedication to education and training allows elective and non-elective soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries to be skillfully performed right here in your hospital.
